Balance & Falls Prevention

Our ability to balance is a crucial aspect in maintaining our mobility and independence as we get older.

At Activate physio we are committed to helping people maintain active, healthy and independent lifestyles. Our Physios will conduct a comprehensive assessment and aim to identify what are the things you need to improve, and provide a complete exercise program that includes various falls prevention exercises aimed at maintaining strength and balance for people of all levels of fitness and ability.

Signs you would benefit from Balance and Falls Prevention advice:

  • Do you feel unsteady on your feet?
  • Do you suffer from dizziness or vertigo?
  • Have you recently had a fall or are afraid of falling?
  • Or are you concerned for a loved one?

 

We want to ensure that you are confident and safe, so these type of exercises can be incorporated into your exercise program and be performed individually in our fully equipped gym with in 1X1 sessions, or in our Balance Class that we run once a week. We can also prescribe a home exercise program that would reinforce any progression that was made in the clinic and promote you even more.
